Genesis 33 and 34 done.
Jacob’s sons are jerks. I don’t care how you were provoked, you don’t trick all the men in a town into circumcising themselves and then march in and slaughter them all, then take all their stuff. Just… wow. Up to p. 175 in the first composition book. Not long now till it’s finished and I move onto composition book two!

Abraham married Hagar, who then went by a different name (hence why Abraham marries a second wife who doesn’t go by ‘Hagar’). They think this explains why everyone then lives where Hagar and Ishmael had been banished to. Hm.

Finished Genesis chapter 24 just now.
And let me say a few things. So far, chapters have generally taken about 5 pages in my composition book to complete. Chapter 24 took 12, and let me tell you why. Please pray for one of my Husband's students.
His dad passed away on New Years around 2 AM from what seems like a stroke that caused him to choke on some food. I can’t imagine losing someone so abruptly, and from something so random.  We don’t expect the student to be in school for a while, but it’s difficult to know how to approach a situation like that, and I’m sure he and his brother and their mom are hurting.
